Delana Fiadino had no idea how much her life would change when she tried her first Arbonne products from an acquaintance 11 years ago. Today she is an Executive Regional Vice President with a thriving business and a work-life balance that is second-to-none.
She also happens to be a friend of mine, and in learning about her genuine love of Arbonne – the products, the company, and the business opportunity – I can easily see just how much it has changed her life. Delana and I have had many conversations about the toxins and harmful chemicals in conventional personal care products, and how we wish we knew then what we know now. Since study after study is showing that these toxins may cause serious harm when used over the long term, the earlier we get started with products made from pure yet effective ingredients, the better. Though any time is a good time to make ourselves healthier, really.
So I asked Delana if she would answer a few questions about her Arbonne experience for those who might be curious:
What made you decide to join Arbonne?
The ingredient policy was in line with what I was looking for AND the products work. I knew I would be recommending the products to others anyway so when I learned about the income potential for recommending these products, I started to feel hope that I could have the best of both worlds- be home with my young family while earning the income that I was making in corporate America.
Did you know that you wanted to sell Arbonne products right away?
No. In fact, three months after being promoted to a sales position in my corporate job, I was demoted because I couldn’t sell! So this was the last thing I ever thought I would be doing. It started when I found myself recommending these products to several of my friends. That’s when I realized that I didn’t have to “sell” anything. The products sell themselves. When you believe in something, it’s easy to recommend them.
How many people are currently on your team?
In addition to regular clients and wholesale buyers, I have approximately 10 people on my team who are building incredible, sustainable businesses.
What do you love about the company?
I love our 37 year old culture and the business model of helping others – which in doing so helps yourself. I love what Arbonne stands for: pure, safe and beneficial. Plus we are vegan and gluten free too. And as a company we continuously challenge ourselves to do better and better. I love that.
Arbonne products are made without: animal products or by-products, artificial flavors, artificial sweeteners, benzene, bisphenol-a, carbon black, formaldehyde-donating preservatives, hydroquinone, mineral oil, parabens, petrolatum, phthalates, sodium laureth sulfates (SLES), sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS), synthetic dyes, talc, triclosan, triethanolamine (TEA), and so much more.
How much support do you receive from your up-line?
We are in business FOR ourselves but NOT BY ourselves. This is a team approach of helping each other. We all support each other; upline, sideline (those who don’t benefit from what we do), and our downline (our business builders).
What Arbonne products do you find that women love the most?
Our anti-aging products, our cutting edge anti aging ultrasound device and our nutrition line. Arbonne has such an extensive line, from makeup and skincare, to hair care and food and drinks, so there’s really something for everyone.
What would you say to Millenials about joining Arbonne?
Millenials thrive in Arbonne because it is a social e-commerce based business. We are our own boss. We decide our income. We have fun. And we’re a green company too.
You’re the only woman in a house full of men! What Arbonne products do your sons use?
So many! They use shampoo, hairspray (They use more than me!), hand soap, face wash, acne pads, body wash, shave gel, scrub, moisturizer, sun screen, lip balm, protein shakes, energy drinks, pre and post workout drinks, and hydration drinks.
What, if any, are the down sides of joining Arbonne?
Honestly…. none. When you become a consultant with Arbonne you get to shop at wholesale, which is a 35-50% discount. If you then decide you’d like to earn money by recommending products, you get to choose how much time to set aside for this. Your income is purely based on your efforts and the efforts of your team.
What advice would you give to someone who is curious about the business opportunity but may not feel comfortable selling?
That was me! I would advise them to try the products first. Once you find a love for our products you don’t see it as selling, you see it as helping others by introducing them to a healthy lifestyle.
What are your plans for your future with Arbonne?
I will always continue to keep building my business by helping others through sharing my love for both our products and our business opportunity. When you love what you do, you never work a day in your life.
