Have you ever wondered if there are natural products that kill cancer cells, or natural products that reduce cancer that we may not know about yet? Have you ever wondered what we could be doing differently to help reduce the chance of getting cancer?
Earlier this year I watched a nine part documentary series called The Truth About Cancer. Then last weekend I watched a podcast by the same folks who produced the documentary series, with three full days of fascinating speakers. If you are interested in natural wellness, if you believe in focusing on prevention before reaction, if you are at all curious about the recent restrictions against homeopathic remedies, or if you just enjoy learning from the experts, then I highly recommend it.
(In case you are curious, I do not benefit in any way from recommending the series to you. I just think it’s fabulous information, and something that everyone should invest in for their own benefit.)
As a health coach, and a mom whose son was cured of an “incurable” disease through natural means, I thought I knew a great deal about natural wellness. (This is the part where I always feel like I have to state that I’m not anti-medicine. I’m just of the philosophy that I’d like to try preventative measures and natural means first.) After watching this documentary and podcast I was reminded that there is always more to learn, and who better to do it from than the foremost authorities in the world?
Speaking of learning, after hearing about the importance of the following products, I hopped right on my computer and purchased them. These were not endorsements from the speaker experts, but rather findings that they learned about, or items that they use personally based on their own extensive knowledge. These are therefore not endorsements from me either. I simply want to share with you what I purchased and why.
10 Items I Bought After Watching “The Truth About Cancer”
Here’s what I purchased after watching The Truth About Cancer documentary and podcast. To me, any natural products that kill cancer cells or natural products that reduce cancer are worth having in my home now. It’s my own way of being proactive rather than reactive.
Now I’ve written about turmeric before, and knew that it can be a powerful anti-cancer agent, but hadn’t realized how vital it is to be getting turmeric in my diet regularly. Since there are just so many recipes that I can put it in, I decided to purchase a bottle of turmeric extract. You can also purchase organic turmeric in bulk and make your own capsules or add it directly to recipes.
Never heard of Essiac tea? Neither had I. But like I said, there is always something more to learn. Essiac is a mixture of Burdock root, Sheep Sorrel, Slippery Elm, and Indian Rhubarb root that you boil to make a drinkable brown liquid. You can make it yourself, or since most of us don’t keep Sheep Sorrel in the pantry, purchase it directly from Essiac Products. People take Essiac for a variety of reasons dealing with their overall wellbeing, from relieving pain to detoxifying the body. It was mentioned several times in the documentary and podcast, so I purchased some Essiac powder to have on-hand. However, if you prefer, you can also purchase it in supplement form.
Multiple studies have shown that mushrooms can help fight cancer. Research has also shown that people living in close proximity to where shiitake mushrooms grow have lower rates of cancer. I like button mushrooms and enjoy portobellos, but for me that’s where it stops. So I purchased this container of organic mushroom powder so I can throw it in a smoothie whenever my heart desires!
The first time I ever heard about organic apricot kernels was in The Truth About Cancer documentary. The natural compound amygdalin (also known as vitamin B17) is found in the seeds of many fruits, such as apricot. There’s mixed info on this one, and you can read an interesting article about it from Dr. Mercola here. Frankly, I was curious whether I would like the taste so I purchased them. Though I do like them quite a bit, apricot kernels have such a strong flavor that it seems obvious to me that they should be consumed in moderation.
The neem plant comes from the mahogany tree family native to India. It has been part of traditional Asian and Ayurvedic medicine for centuries. Neem leaves are said to have antibacterial, antiviral, and anti-fungal properties. It has been thought to potentially stimulate the immune system to fight cancer cells and generate high levels of antioxidants. You can also find neem extract in oil form, supplements, oral care products and other personal care products.
The trace mineral selenium is found in foods such as Brazil nuts. Low levels of selenium are associated with an increased risk of thyroid cancer. The Truth About Cancer calls selenium, “one of the best detoxifying agents to prevent mercury build-up.” You can get it in a supplement form or in a liquid form. The liquid has zero flavor, so it can easily be added to a glass of water.
This too was a natural product I hadn’t heard had been shown to help support skin cancer treatment. The cream uses the eggplant extracts known as BEC and BEC5, and has been said to reduce non-melanoma skin cancers in weeks. The naturally occurring glycoalkaloids found in the pigment of nightshade family vegetables, including eggplant, bind to skin cancer cells and is highly toxic to them, yet they cause no harm to healthy cells. This one is slightly expensive because at present few companies make it, but my guess is that we’re going to start seeing more personal care products with eggplant extract added to them in the near future.
Cannabidiol (or CBD) has long been known as an anti-cancer agent, but I did not know that it can be purchased online. The oil is said to cause cancer cell death by interfering with the communication between cancer cells in the body. It’s important to note that CBD oil does not have a psychoactive effect. You can get CBD oil in a variety of forms, from supplements to extract to creams.
Colloidal silver is most known as a remedy for burns, but it has many, many other potential health benefits, including cancer. Learn more about it by reading this article from Dr. Josh Axe, one of the many expert speakers from The Truth About Cancer series. You should also read this informative article about the precautions associated with colloidal silver. Sovereign Silver is the brand I purchased because it contains the most positively charged silver ions, and it does not work as well if it is not positively charged. Why would I buy it if I didn’t want it to work well? The smaller the particle size, the easier it is for the body to absorb and eliminate. Sovereign Silver has an unprecedented particle size of 0.8 nm/0.0008 microns, unlike other brands.
After losing seven members of his family to cancer over the course of a decade, Ty Bollinger set out on a quest to learn as much as he possibly could about cancer treatments and the medical industry that surrounds the disease. He has written this book to share what he’s uncovered, some of which may shock you, and to give you new resources for coping with cancer in your life or the life of someone you love. As Ty explains, there are many natural methods we can access to treat and prevent cancer that go well beyond chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery; we just don’t know about them. The Truth about Cancer delves into the history of medicine, as well as cutting-edge research showing the efficacy of dozens of largely unrecognized cancer treatments and natural products that kill cancer cells that are helping patients around the globe.
It’s important to remember that in addition to these items, there are many well-known proactive steps you can take towards reducing cancer, such as: spending time outdoors, eating wild caught salmon (or other fish such as sardines that are high in Omega-3 fatty acids), exercising daily, and eating your green leafy vegetables!
While our government is trying to restrict the use of products found in nature, there are over 1,000 synthetic ingredients that are currently banned in Europe but are “generally considered safe” here in the United States. It’s all a little mind-boggling. So my personal response is to do my own homework so that I can make my own educated decisions with regards to mine and my children’s health. That’s why I continue to read and learn as much as I can. Sure, some damage may have been done before now, but I sure can still work towards a healthier future for my family.
Did you watch The Truth About Cancer documentary or 3-day podcast? If so, what did YOU learn, or what will you do differently as a result of what you learned?
