When my oldest son was younger he had eczema due to allergies. His face and legs were constantly red and irritated. He always got that look from people who were pretending not to notice.
Anyone living with eczema or psoriasis also knows how painful and frustrating it can be to live with dry, itchy, flaky skin. Prescription treatments often contain ingredients such as steroids, coal tar and/or pine tar.
Today my son’s eczema is gone (as are his food allergies), but he does still have very sensitive skin. His hands and his scalp both get exceptionally dry. His hands can crack and bleed while his scalp has a tendency to flake. When he closes his fist to hold a pencil at school, it can be painful. And every parent knows that no child should be scratching his scalp in class, or panic will ensue and he will surely end up in the nurse’s office for a lice check!
I’m sure you can imagine how well this all goes over with a 12-year old boy. They only want qualities that make them stand out in a good way!
Fortunately, he just began using the line of Psorzema® products from derma e®, and is very happy with the results! (I already have their Tea Tree and E Antiseptic Ceme and their Vitamin A Retinyl Palmitate Creme in my cabinet, so it was a no-brainer to try this line too.)
The salicylic acid penetrates the area to lift away excess flakes and surface buildup, while tea tree and menthol help calm the skin and cool itch on contact. We’re already fans of tea tree oil around here, so these are products we know we can trust. Mom likes it too, since it is coal tar-free, pine tar-free, steroid-free, paraben-free, sulfate-free, mineral oil-free, lanolin-free, and GMO-free.
This doctor-developed, clinically tested formula works in four ways to gently cleanse, de-flake, soothe and nourish the scalp and hair. It is made with a blend of herbs, including Neem, Burdock and Bearberry, along with vitamins and botanicals to nourish the scalp and strengthen the hair. My son’s hands are feeling (and looking) better too, after using the derma e® Psorzema Creme. He has previously tried several different products without both seeing results and enjoying the feel of the cream on his skin.
derma e® products are doctor-developed, consumer-tested and clinically-tested. Most doctor-developed brands are not also free of parabens, phthalates, mineral oil and petrolatum. In fact, I find that it’s typically quite the opposite. With derma e®, every formula is cruelty-free, gluten-free and 100% vegan. Plus, their manufacturing and operations are offset 100% by wind power. That’s my kind of company!
derma e® can be found in over 16,500 retail outlets across the U.S. such as LuckyVitamin.com, Whole Foods Markets, Wegman’s, ULTA Beauty, and more!
