It’s that time of year when people are busy trying to stay warm and stick to their New Year’s resolutions. Since I have a tendency to hibernate between January and March when the weather is frightful, it is helpful to stock up on what I may need. Some products make it easier to stay warm and on track than others.
Here are some of our favorites:
As a person who is always cold, every afternoon or evening I have a cup of tea. One of the brands I adore is Stash Tea organic teas. Organic Gold Cup Chai with Turmeric naturally caffeine-free chai that can be enjoyed on its own or with milk and sugar. This spicy chai tea contains turmeric, which is known for its incredible health benefits. Recently I had the opportunity to try Organic Lavender Tulsi tea, which is a great one to have before bedtime. According to folklore, tulsi is a healing balm for body, mind and spirit. The naturally caffeine free tea with lavender is destined to bring about calmness and serenity. (By the way, you can get 15% off entire online order at http://www.stashtea.com from Jan 4th-Feb 12th 2016 using the promo code BABBLE15.) Their Earl Grey varieties are also delicious!
There are so many sicknesses going around right now, that it’s just a matter of time before a bug hits our household. My husband is loving Cold-EEZE® Plus Natural Multi-Symptom Relief Cold & Flu lozenges. It can shorten your cold PLUS help relieve cough, congestion and sore throat. There are 12 natural mixed berry flavor lozenges with zinc gluconate in each package. See for yourself at http://www.coldeeze.com/.
In the winter my skin dries out easily, but when I still need to clean it thoroughly post-exercise. http://www.dickinsonsusa.com/ contain aloe vera so my skin can stay balanced and get clean without becoming too dry. This little individually wrapped towelette makes for a great astringent and toner, remove excess oil and impurities from my skin. You can find them at many local retailers or at http://www.dickinsonsusa.com/.
This fall I fell off my gluten-free bandwagon, big time. One of my resolutions is to get back on track, because I feel so much better when I cut gluten out of my diet. As we all know, breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and it just so happens that my kids’ favorite weekend breakfast meal is pancakes. http://www.dickinsonsusa.com/ is a natural, organic pancake mix that’s made by just adding water. (My kind of recipe!) These Gluten-Free pancakes are so delicious, you won’t miss the wheat a bit. It is made with a blend of wheat-free flours and Oregon hazelnut meal! Get yours at http://birchbenders.com/.
Since I’m coming off of a couple months of eating at parties and restaurants, I’m reading the Stop & Drop Diet book. It helps you find the healthiest versions of your favorite foods and drinks, so you can stay on track. (Visit StopAndDropDiet.com for more information, or go to https://www.enrichu.com to see the online companion course.) They also offer a 21-day meal plan designed for fast weight loss and balanced nutrition. It’s a great read for those of us who need to get back on track after indulging during the holiday season.
