If you have followed this site for a while, you probably know that I am an advocate of using essential oils, as well as a distributor for Young Living. The benefits of essential oils are incredible, and there are many.
People always ask me what I use these oils for, though every user may have had a different reason for getting started. For example, some may begin with a desire to get rid of chemical-filled products and make the switch to pure, naturally derived products from cleaning supplies to personal care items. Others may want to take their wellness to the next level by using plant-based products that have specifically been designed to help support a balanced, healthy life.
What you may not know are some of the many uses for essential oils on an everyday basis. There are also more that you can keep in your arsenal to have at-the-ready when they are needed. Today I am sharing my most often used oils and essential oil products, and explaining why they are a part of my regular routine. My days are busy, so all the help I can get keeping them (and me) on track naturally is more than welcome.
Here’s a typical day in the life of this essential oil user:
Ningxia Red drink: When there are 675 items on your day’s to-do list and your body is begging you to stay in bed. And because antioxidants are good for you.
Tea Tree oil: Because your temperamental skin occasionally forgets that you are no longer a temperamental fourteen year-old.
Lavender, Rosemary and Tea Tree oils: Because you prefer the company of humans to critters.
Lemon oil: Because a clean digestive system is sexier than an unclean digestive system. Know what I mean??
Orange oil: Because green tea is just too boring without it.
Focus or Clarity oil: When your brain hasn’t turned on yet and it’s already after lunch.
Deep Relief roll-on: Because sometimes your muscles wish you had gone to the mall instead of the gym.
Stress Away roll-on: When everyone is on your nerves and it’s too early for wine.
Peppermint oil: If you like to eat food, but it doesn’t always like you back.
Tranquil roll-on: When your kids stay up too late and become wired instead of tired.
Boswellia wrinkle cream: Because time may not stand still, but we sure can try to slow it the hell down.
Cedarwood oil: When it’s late at night and your husband can’t relax his annoyingly restless self.
Thieves oil: For those who prefer to stay upright when it seems like everyone else is coming down with something.
Lavender oil: Because bikini waxing hurts.
Breathe Again roll-on: For people who agree that breathing is kind of important.
Grapefruit oil: When a smaller belly would be nice, and maybe a cuter butt while we’re at it.
Lemon oil: Because cream color carpet should stay that way.
Dragon Time oil: For that time of the month. Enough said.
Purification oil: Because boys are smelly. And so are their gym bags, sports equipment, sneakers, bedrooms….
Copaiba oil: When your body feels forty years older than your birth certificate.
Lime oil: Because it’s 5:00 somewhere.

Again, my experience with essential oils will differ from someone else’s daily routine, since we all have different bodies, different families, and different needs.
