If helping others in any way is part of your holiday season traditions (or if you want to make it one), then mark your calendars for December 3rd, 2013 for #GivingTuesday.
What is #GivingTuesday, you ask?
#GivingTuesday is a movement which began last year to have a day that is dedicated to giving to others during the giving season. It takes place on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and this year, after the start of Hanukkah. The second annual GivingTuesday is on December 3, 2013.
How can you participate in #GivingTuesday?
Any way you like, whether through participating in a charity, sharing acts of kindness, making donations, or shopping responsibly. The goal of #GivingTuesday is to utilize the combined impact of individual and corporate generosity, and inspiring everyone to give back in some way.
