President Jimmy Carter and his wife Rosalynn are longtime supporters of Habitat for Humanity. Since 1984, they have given a week of their time each year to help build Habitat homes somewhere in the world.
This year the Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project will take place from October 6th through the 12th. There will be building events in California, Colorado, New York and New Jersey. President and Mrs. Carter will be visiting the California, Colorado and New York sites during the week, with celebrities coming out for a reception at each of the three locations. It coincides with World Habitat Day which will take place on October 7th.
During the week Habitat volunteers will build and repair more than 80 homes. Volunteer opportunities are being handled by each location’s Habitat for Humanity affiliate and spaces are limited
- Habitat for Humanity East Bay/Silicon Valley
- Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver
- Habitat for Humanity New York City
