Celebrity Fashion for Japan

Here’s a fabulously fashionable way to help those affected by the earthquake and tsunami in East Japan.

UNIQLO, Japan’s biggest clothes retailer (and one of the hottest retailers in New York) is helping with relief efforts by partnering with an amazing team of celebrity designers for a new t-shirt collection.

UNIQLO has teamed up with the Save Japan! Project and the Condé Nast Group (publisher of Vogue and GQ – and my former employer) to create and promote the sale of t-shirts designed by: Lady Gaga, Nicole Kidman, Victoria Beckham, Cyndi Lauper, Orlando Bloom, Karl Lagerfeld, Charlize Theron, Blake Lively, Gwyneth Paltrow and Lanvin’s Alber Elbaz.  Each shirt has a message of support for survivors.

All proceeds from the sale of the t-shirts will benefit the Japanese Red Cross.  They cost $19.90 and go on sale June 25th at http://www.uniqlo.com/ut/savejapan/us/.

The “SAVE JAPAN!” website at http://savejapanproject.com/ was established to help those affected by the earthquake in East Japan.  The Japanese Red Cross Society is helping with recovery efforts in the affected areas of Japan.

I’m loving the one by Charlize Theron, shown on the right.  Which one is your favorite?
