If you are looking to use non toxic makeup and beauty products that give you the results you want without the chemicals, consider this.
The Environmental Working Group’s is a non-profit organization whose mission is to empower people to live healthier lives in a healthier environment. EWG’s research empowers consumers to make informed choices when they purchase food and personal care products. Now, for the very first time, EWG has launched a EWG VERIFIED™ mark for brands that meet a rigid set of criteria, utilizing full disclosure of ingredients and formulating processes. Products must not contain any ingredients with certain or potential health, ecotoxicity or contamination concerns. All EWG VERIFIED™ products are adequately preserved and free of contaminants, not just in their ingredients but in the manufacturing processes too.
While EWG hopes that one day every product on store shelves meet their rigorous criteria, right now there are just two EWG VERIFIED™ members who have a history of creating toxin free products and who give consumers extensive information on ingredient labels and manufacturing processes. One of those companies (of which I am now a proud affiliate) is toxin free makeup company, Beautycounter.
Appalled when she learned that companies are allowed to use ingredients in their products that have been linked to cancer, reproductive issues, and hormone disruption, Gregg Renfrew, Beautycounter’s founder, decided to start a company that makes terrific products without the use of harmful toxins.
Beautycounter has banned more than 1,500 ingredients from their product list that are known or suspected to be toxic, cancer-causing, or hormone disruptors. Instead they make fantastic products that are just as indulgent as any luxury shampoo, lipstick, or personal care item on the market while setting new standards in health and safety. They do not use styrene-based, PVC, or polycarbonate plastics in their packaging, all of which are usually not recyclable and are known to include toxic chemicals. They also use FSC-certified paper for all paper packaging. Every powder compact is made from recycled paper.
What I love about Beautycounter is that their products can be purchased directly from their website at Beautycounter.com or through one of their Independent Consultants. A Consultant joins Beautycounter with the intention of building a business through selling their products or building a team of Consultants.
If you are not able to become a Consultant but still want to get involved in the Beautycounter movement, you can join the Beautycounter member program and get access to exclusive perks, including special savings on our safer high-performing products, behind-the-scenes content, and more.
Purchasing one of Beautycounter’s collections allows you to try out Beautycounter’s products for a great price. The Face Collection includes six of their top selling items for $185 (a $20 discount). You can also rejuvenate skin and fight the signs of aging with all six products in the amazing Countertime line at $40 less than if you purchased the items individually. They even have a Kidscounter Bath Collection for kids! And my personal favorite gift for the holidays from Beautycounter is their Body Collection.
Individually, I am loving their Ylang Ylang & Wild Chamomile Lustro Face Oil, Every Day AM Hydrating Cream, Lip Sheer in Rose, and the Any Time Eye Cream.
Are you ready for healthier beauty products and personal care items? Now you can ditch the chemicals once and for all, because Beautycounter is ready for you!
