Today begins World Kindness Week, a topic that has been covered immensely here over the past few years. Whether you choose to call it acts of kindness, paying it forward, or giving back, it is all about lifting someone else up.
An act of kindness does not have to be anything elaborate or planned out. It does not take an act of great skill. Kindness can be as simple as extending a hand, or giving a compliment. All you have to do is be a little more generous toward others than is necessary. Think about how much better the world would be if we all took just a bit more time to consider the feelings of others.
In the meantime, we can take this week to get started. If you aren’t sure where to begin, here are some posts that might spark an idea or three, of random acts of kindness for you and your family.
While acts of kindness do not have to be elaborate to be effective, if you do have a big idea, those are fantastic too. KIND is giving out $10,000 to organizations and groups (you don’t have to be a 501c3) who have big ideas for saving the world. To submit yours, head on over to http://causes.kindsnacks.com/.
