This week I am asking for your help. There is a petition to the White House urging the Food and Drug Administration to use their right to accelerate the approval of treatment for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
Duchenne’s is the leading genetic killer of children. It impacts on out of every 3,500 boys born in the United States. One of those boys is someone very dear to my family. It would mean the world to us to see these safe, effective therapies approved in time to save his life.
Time is of the essence, not just for these terminally ill children, but for the petition to be approved. It is only open through March 29th, and at the time of writing this post they still need over 90,000 names for this to pass. Every signature gets them closer to saving a life.
Please, please take a moment to sign this petition – and to pass it on to your friends and family. You would be doing such a good deed. Your signature might even save lives.
