Welcome to Random Acts of Kindness Week!

Nope, that title was not a joke. It really is a week. (I promise.) RAK Week is an annual reminder that kindness matters. Though it is somewhat of a sad state of affairs that we must remind ourselves to be kind, the reminder is so worth it. In this stressed out crazy world, kindness really matters. And with this being the same week as Valentine’s Day, well, that makes it even more special, right?

So this week, I’d like to challenge you to do at least one random act of kindness for every day of the week. Then, if you would like, come on back and share your acts with us in order to give others great ideas of what they can do too!

It does not have to be anything elaborate, just be a little kinder than is necessary. If you are looking for some starters, I have written several posts over the past couple of years about acts of kindness that might spark a few ideas:
Be kind, for it may come back to you someday.

And if you would like to join in the fun on social media, tag your posts this week with #RAKweek or #RAKWeek2014.

I’ll start. Here’s wishing you a fabulous day!

  2. Ok we are in sounds like fun

  3. What a great week! I’m in too!

  4. Love this! I try to do it anyway but I’ll try particularly hard this week! In the past it was Neighbor Day on the cartoon Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood. To reinforce this message with my 3 year old, I had him help me make cookies for our neighbor, wrap them up nicely and had him paint a picture (he’s really good at it!) Then we went over to the neighbor and I had him explain Neighbor Day. She was delighted!

  5. Great challenge! I’m going to try it, but since I’m stuck in the house most of my RAKs will be for my kids or hubby lol

  6. It is a little sad we need reminded, but great to ‘celebrate’ for the week too!

  7. I love your series of posts on random acts of kindness. These are some fantastic ideas Jessica that we can all use. I accept your challenge;)

  8. I {heart} RAK Week!!
